May 10, 2017 DALLAS, TEXAS
On May 8th, Texas Governor Greg Abbott gave official recognition to Elephant Insurance Company for its expansion into the State of Texas. The following day, May 9th, Senator Don Huffines offered a resolution that was subsequently passed by the Texas Senate similarly recognizing Elephant Auto Insurance for expanding into the state. The state flag flown over the Texas Capitol on May 9th was also presented to Elephant. Elephant Auto Insurance, the 8th fastest growing Property and Casualty insurer in the US (2015), expanded their operations and opened a new office in Carrollton in February of this year.
The Carrollton office is to become an integral part of Elephant’s growth with a wider range of business functions. Elephant is initially hiring sales agents and will be looking to bring on claims and customer service agents throughout the year. Since opening its operations in Richmond, Virginia in 2009, Elephant has hired 1,507 people and has generated double-digit growth rates in all of its existing states. The growth has been most pronounced in Texas, where many Texans are recognizing the great auto insurance savings and service they experience thanks to Elephant’s mantra of more care, less cost.
“It was a pleasure to announce this investment in Carrollton Texas where the labor force here is well educated, friendly, hard-working, honest, analytical and creative,” Brian Wakefield, Head of Texas Operations, said in a statement, “We are excited to be recruiting for our new office in the Dallas area and helping people build a long and rewarding career with Elephant.”
