The Insurer is the First to Offer Lower Insurance Rates for Their Customers Working From Home
RICHMOND, VA (August 27, 2020) – Elephant Insurance announced today that they will be the first insurer to offer a discounted rate to customers working from home.
Policyholders and spouses working from home and driving less are eligible to receive the new discount, depending on the number of days driven to work and the customer’s occupation. To apply, customers can fill out an online quote form or speak directly with an agent. Elephant’s Work from Home Discount does not require any tracking device to be used by the customer.
“We understand customers are seeking flexible ways to manage their car insurance,” said Alberto Schiavon, Elephant CEO. “This discount was created to acknowledge the change that has occurred to many jobs today. If you are currently working from home and driving less, we want to help you save even more on your car insurance.”
Discount eligibility began August 19, 2020 in Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Texas and Virginia. Current customers will have it available for policy renewals starting in these states October 19, 2020. The Work from Home discount will be available in Indiana and Tennessee on October 14, 2020.
