Richmond, Va. (November 30, 2022) – Elephant Insurance announced today that through its partnership with Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation, a total of 5,405 miles of highways across Indiana, Texas, and Virginia have been cleaned.
The Elephant Adopt A Highway sponsorship began in Indiana and Texas in 2019 and expanded into Virginia in 2020. To date, AHMC’s crews have spent a total of 4,160 hours cleaning highways in those states which have resulted in 11,610 bags and approximately 92,880 pounds of litter removed.
AHMC provides an opportunity for Elephant to give back to the community. Every sign represents a commitment to fund litter-removal efforts executed by AHMC’s trained staff.
