Elephant encourages employees and customers in Virginia to add phones to the COVID fight
RICHMOND, VA (September 18, 2020) – Elephant Insurance is proud to support COVIDWISE, Virginia’s official COVID-19 exposure notification mobile app.
The app, which launched last month, made Virginia the first state in the United States to deploy an exposure notification app using the Apple/Google Bluetooth Low Energy framework.
As a Virginia business supporting the COVIDWISE app, Elephant Insurance is encouraging employees and customers to download and use the free app available via the App Store and Google Play Store.
“We know the more aware we are of potential exposures of COVID-19, the more likely we are to minimize transmission risk,” said Alberto Schiavon, Elephant CEO. “We’re proud to join the COVID fight.”
According to the Virginia Department of Health, no personally identifiable information or location data is collected, stored, or tracked through COVIDWISE. Use of the app is voluntary, and it can be deleted from any device at any time.
